Your download speed
Latency: —
Results are an estimate and depend on your device, Wi-Fi, browser and network conditions. For the most accurate reading, use a wired connection and close other apps.
What do these numbers mean?
Faster isn't always better — the right speed depends on how many people and devices share your connection. Use this as a quick guide.
10–25 Mbps
Light use — browsing, email and SD/HD streaming for 1–2 people.
100–200 Mbps
Everyday family use — HD/4K streaming, video calls and smart devices.
300–500 Mbps
Busy households — multiple 4K streams, gaming and working from home.
1 Gig+
Power users — big uploads, large smart homes and zero buffering, ever.
Speed test FAQ
How does this speed test work?
It downloads test data to your device and measures how fast it arrives (download speed) plus the round-trip delay (latency). It runs entirely in your browser — nothing is installed.
Why is my result lower than my plan?
Wi-Fi, your router, your device, other apps using the connection, and peak-hour congestion all reduce real-world speed. For the truest reading, plug in with an Ethernet cable and close other apps.
What's a good latency?
Lower is better. Under ~30 ms feels instant for video calls and gaming; fiber typically has the lowest, steadiest latency.
